My wife and I have two homes in Florida that we love with, and would be thrilled to buy either. The problem is that neither one is currently for sale, and they’re both tied up in preforeclosure. We have looked up all of the public records and gotten advice from a real estate attorney and a realtor. Both parties basically told us to contact the default homeowner and try to come to an arrangement. Contact has not been easy; Two out-of-service phone numbers, and letters by mail that might have reached them. I know that we could probably save money and time by going to a home auction, but it’s time we don’t have. Work and parenting keep us really busy.
